We make history

The Herval Group is a gaucha [southern region of Brazil] company founded in 1959. Headquartered in the city of Dois Irmãos, it integrates different segments and is present in all regions of the country. There are currently 20 brands that include industry, commerce and services - consortia, insurance, construction and finance.

We are proud to compose a group recognized by its customers for its quality and tradition. In 2019, we celebrated our 60th anniversary with the assurance that all our customers were part of this growth and achievement with us. This prestige is deserved and leaves us with the desire to grow even more. We have a trajectory focused on constant improvement through research and the development of new technologies. All of this, of course, with the utmost respect for the environment and appreciation for our natural resources. This reflects our concern to offer our best not only to the consumer but to the entire planet. Our values are present in all our factories and stores throughout Brazil. Over the years, we have built a solid foundation and set new boundaries as we grow. And now, 60 years later, we want to push those limits.

Our Improvement Programs

Hervalorizando [Hervalizing]

Created in 2001, Hervalorizando [Hervalizing] is a program that aims at the personal, professional and financial appreciation of our collaborators. Basically, it is an open channel for us to receive suggestions for improvements for any sector, area or department of the company. The program incorporates the Herval Group culture as an open channel increasingly used by collaborators.

Zero Group

It is an Herval Group collaborator group created in order to minimize, eliminate or reuse the waste generated in the company and disseminate concepts and practices related to the management of environmental routines.

Quality Teams

This program covers the scope certified by ISO 9001. Stakeholders may act by designation or initiative on the Improvement Teams. Their objective is to use the knowledge to participate and assist in the analysis of problems in their area.

Task forces

This is when work teams join efforts in order to find solutions to specific problems. It aims to reduce expenses, avoid waste or improve working conditions and procedures in any sector or department of the company.

Benchmarking/Business Visit

The company is open for visitation upon approval. The visit is aimed at our customers, suppliers, educational entities, employees, family members of employees, shareholders, community, among others. It aims to spread information about the Herval Group to different audiences to add value and recognition to our brand and our products and services for the community.

Technology and Innovation

We promote trips around Brazil and abroad to participate in major fairs and visits to companies with the objective of learning about new products, machines and equipment with the latest technology, seeking alternatives and solutions for the Herval Group. We adhere to methods of integration and foster innovation in products and processes, working in the areas of management, engineering, research and development.

Social, environmental and chain of custody responsibility

In 2019, we achieved the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification, which consists of meeting the entire chain of custody and supply within the concept of forest remnants, highlighting the origin of the inputs.

The Herval Group complies with legislation and ensures good practices in the supply chain with partners committed to this philosophy.

PU Foams and Herval products receive seal with environmentally friendly concepts.

These practices are the result of the commitment to the environment, being recognized by the UN (United Nations) in 1998, due to the PU Foam production system, using systems that limit the emission of CFC (chlorine fluorine carbon) gases, which harm the ozone layer. In addition to productive devices and techniques that minimize waste generation, it maintains constant initiatives to make collaborators and the community aware of the proper destination and processing of waste generated, both at the factory and at the family level. It adopts social responsibility practices, meeting the wide range of requirements of AS 8000 (social responsibility) standard, as well as maintaining cultural initiatives such as a marching band, vocal group, as well as an ample structure to promote cultural and sports activities.

Maintains routine monitoring and waste management to manage and minimize impacts, as well as maintain responsibility towards the environment.
